Public debate “Minorities YES – Minor NO” was held

Within the framework of the project Civil Society Sustainability Programme (CSSP), Social Inclusion Foundation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (SIF in BiH) has organized public debate on the topic “MINORITIES – MINOR NO” in Sarajevo in Hotel Bosnia on 12 December 2016, started at 11 o’clock.

Public debate is one of the activities of public advocacy campaign “Adoption of amendments to the Election Law in the field of electoral rights of national minorities” that Social Inclusion Foundation in BiH (SIF in BiH) is implementing in the framework of the project Civil Society Sustainability Programme (CSSP) with the support of American Agency for International Development (USAID) under the symbolic slogan:

“Being minority does not mean that you are minor”

Participants of the public debate intended, through discussion and concrete proposals, to recognise and promote initiatives to influence the acceleration of procedures of adoption of necessary laws so minorities stop being minorities in the way that it is functioning right now in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian society. On this topic speakers were Jakob Finci, President of the Jewish community in BiH and Žarko Papić, Director of the Initiative for better and humane inclusion. 26 participants (15 F/11 M) attended public debate.
