Social entrepreneurship
Social economy implies domination of the social goals over the economy goals, but the social goals are being achieved through economic way of work.
Social entrepreneurship is usage of entrepreneurial behavior to achieve social goals and benefits for the community. The concept of social entrepreneurship includes different economic initiatives which are not primarily focused on profit-gaining, but on achieving public interest or interest of particular socially- excluded groups.
With the aim of developing social entrepreneurship in BiH and utilization of the existing resources, SIF in BiH has conducted a research and produced the Assessment Report on Social Entrepreneurship in BiH with practical recommendations for the development of social entrepreneurship activities. In the period 2010-2014 SIF in BiH has supported NGO projects focused on social entrepreneurship in the amount of 1,168,725.57 BAM, out of which participation of SIF in BiH has been 799,085.34 BAM, while domestic participation has been 369,640.23 BAM.
