SIF in BiH presents: NO TO THE MARGIN (NE MARGINI)
"Look how we live here, ask, are we guilty of it ... So many of us on the same side ..."
The Social Inclusion in Bosnia and Herzegovina (SIF in BiH) has, within the project "Civil Society Sustainability Program (CSSP)", for the sector human rights - marginalized groups, funded by the USAID - the United States Agency for International Development, co-operated with a prominent BiH writer, journalist and musician, Ahmed Burić, in order to create a creative and innovative way to raise public awareness of the rights and status of marginalized groups in BiH. Through forming of #BandNeMargini, the idea was to gather renowned names of the music world and write a song of the same name in order to acquaint the public with the BiH social image - either because of poverty, either because of war or civil disability, or for some other reason - in a completely different way.
On this occasion, in the studio of Damir Arslanagić, Ahmed Burić and Branko Sauka, former member of Gino Banana and Crvena jabuka, gathered and created the song. After that, the song was performed by Mirela Laković, Nina Babić, Halid Bešlić, Vlado Kreslin, Narcis Vučina, Dino Saran, Almir Kurt, Damir Nikšić, Elvis J. Kurtović and Ahmed Burić.
People should think and try to come out of apathy and say – no to the margin. The concept and the band-choir are of the same name with a mission to invite people to think and stand up. Getting out of a difficult material situation and depression is not easy, and it's a big work, but one can not last forever in it.
